Individual Therapy is a counseling process which caters to your individual therapeutic needs one on one and incorporates several different interventions treatment styles and treatment modalities. You work with the therapist in a safe, caring and confidential environment to explore your feelings, beliefs, or behaviors while working through your challenges, trauma or pain. You identify the aspects of your life that you would like to change or better understand, set personal goals and work towards your desired change.
Couples counseling is a process through which a couple (who may be engaged, dating, married or partnered) works with a therapist to identify specific areas of conflict and/or aspects of their relationship that they would like to change. They then develop a plan of action to improve each individual’s satisfaction, contentment, strengthen communication, promote intimacy and bonding and rebuild trust. By working with a therapist in a safe and confidential setting, couples are able to explore how their individual backgrounds, beliefs, thoughts and behaviors may be impacting their relationship in both positive and negative ways.
Family therapy is a counseling method that caters to the family. This is done by helping family members address specific issues that affect the psychological health of the family such as major life transitions, immediate family member struggling with an addiction, mental health diagnosis, medical issues, loss and grief, divorce, behavioral problems of children and adolescents and other immediate issues. Family counseling also helps family members improve communication, adjust to and or resolve conflicts by improving the system of interactions between the family members.
Group therapy is a counseling process in which a small group of people meet in a group setting with a group therapist to talk about a similar issue they have in common and are all struggling with. Under the direction of the group therapist members share and explore their feelings and behaviors, hear different points of views, learn coping strategies and receive encouragement and support from others facing similar issues.
Currently we hold a "Healing Narcissistic Abuse Support Group". This group is focused on giving survivors who have experienced Narcisstic abuse the tools and support that is needed to take their lives back and thrive!
